Scott’s ability to make everyone feel welcome, along with his passion for riding and concern for the chapter, made him a great 1st Officer. He took over the position at a difficult time as we all worked through the pain of losing a dear friend. Over his three years of leadership, Scott not only continued to grow the membership, but more importantly, the number of “active” members in the chapter. Scott has a way of determining the right causes to support, while combining it with riding, eating, and fellowship. The chapter has had many success stories under his leadership. There are too many to list them all, but a couple of the big ones are establishing a weekly ride to Welcome Home Our Heroes and leading the coordination of hosting the 2009 Texas State Reunion. THANK YOU!!! for your years of service to the chapter and I look forward to your continued support. --Bruce ‘Grumpy’ Ressler |

Rich “Family Guy” Jaeger, was physically, an imposing figure. A big guy, with an even bigger heart. I will always remember him as a funny, good natured person, and a good friend. His time as First Officer was preceded with his service as Second Officer to David Baron for over a year. Although his time as FO was short, he spent many hours riding and getting to know our members. With Rich’s passing, it was with great sadness for our chapter to say goodbye to such a man. May he rest in peace. --Scott “Ras” Rasco |

There is a reason “The Baron” served for over two years as the Denton County Chapter First Officer. He is a class act and an exceptional leader. During his time, David resurrected the group and created an environment that was welcoming and supportive to other members. He has and still does, show a genuine interest in the club and the people who ride with him. Although David has stepped down as First Officer, he will always remain active as our first “Officer Emeritus”. --Scott “Ras” Rasco |

Joe Kewl Pannell is an easy going guy and did a lot for this chapter. I met Joe for the first time at the Denton Chapter bike nights held on the Denton Square. He loved riding motorcycles more than most people; whether it was on the street or in the dirt, riding was in his blood. He was very involved within the chapter and made many friends during that time. Joe served the chapter well, but decided new leadership was required and moved on. Joe is still riding on the paved and unpaved surfaces and I wish him the best. --David Barron |

When Huck decided to step down, Kevin was the chapter's unanimous choice to be First Officer. Kevin did a great job of organizing his management team, so that all areas of chapter business were covered. He was also very active in planning rides and events for the club. Kevin's leadership, character, and wit were a major asset to our chapter. I want to personally thank Kevin for his service to the club. Also, had he not recruited me, I would not enjoy the friendships and camaraderie that I do today. THANKS KT! --Joe Pannell |

Huck's role as 1st officer was an especially difficult one. He had to manage the transition of the chapter from the founding leaders, to the chapter routine, which he did well. Huck applied an even hand in his leadership, and was open to all suggestions. He considered everyone's views before making a decision. Huck was always on time to the rides and enjoyed watching newbie's learn to lead the group, while he assumed the role of Tailgunner, keeping a careful eye on his flock. Under Huck's leadership the chapter grew into a success. --Kevin Tapply |

Ron Hammond is one of those guys that are usually very quiet. I always thought that Ron's VERY best quality was, well, was his wife Lynnette. Ron was a leader that went out of his way to make you feel good. He also made sure that no one ever came into the group that wasn't greeted by at least, the Officers, and usually he introduced them to every one. Ron always had the good of the group on his mind. He didn't like to have to dress people down, but would do it in a manner that the person could still keep his self-respect. We also had some good help in the early days of the Cruisers. Dan House, former Second Officer, who is now the President of the Rebel Riders MC, taught us all a lot about the "real Biker World". One day I told Ron that I was interested in being a Road Captain. He said, well how about being the First Officer instead? Ron really is quite a guy and was one helluva FO. I thank him for having the confidence in me to put me in the position. I also thank him for the friendship and leadership he gave to this organization. --Huck Morgan |
